Qualifications and Personal History
Over 10 years experience in a range of molecular biology techniques, including NGS, microarrays, qRT-PCR, polysome profiling, Northern blotting and Western blotting.
PhD awarded in 2013; “The role of mRNA Translational Regulation in Models of Hepatotoxicity”.
One of the primary liaison members of the Genomic Services group – Deep Sequencing, Microarray and Ribosome profiling. Specialist areas include Agilent microarrays (gene expression and miRNA). Also, Ion Torrent PGM sequencing (Ampliseq and RNA-seq), sequencing library preparation and polysome profiling. Co-ordination of the workloads of key personnel, which includes a training role where necessary.
